He stated that a doctor at Bellevue Hospital sent him home 22 July 62, but he was listed as AWOL and was arrested 3 July 63 by the Provost Marshall of the 24th District of PA at Homewood, Beaver Co., PA. Returned to Plymouth during Aug 63. Re-enlisted 1 Jan 64 at Plymouth, NC, but it was cancelled due to the fact that he still had more enlistment to serve. KLINK, George Adam - Private, Co. C.  Born 1820 in Nittingen, Bayern, Germany son of Johannes & Anna (Walter) Klenck. Adam came to America in 1849 with his brother John. The rest of the family stayed in Germany, with the exception of a sister, Magdelena, who came in 1859. Enrolled 8 Sept 61 at Big Beaver Twp, Lawrence Co., PA, a 42 year old Coal Miner from Beaver Co., PA. Mustered in 6 Nov 61. Re-enlisted 1 Jan 64. Captured 20 April 64 at Plymouth, NC. KLINK, John - Private, Co. C. Born 5 Sept 1821 in Nittingen, Bayern, Germany son of Johannes & Anna (Walter) Klenck. Arrived in America with Adam in 1849. Married 4 May 1849 to Barbara Saylor, and together they had 11 children. Enrolled 22 Sept 61 at Big Beaver Twp, Lawrence Co., PA, a 41 year old Coal Miner from Beaver Co., PA. Mustered in 19 Oct 61. Wounded in the face & captured 31 May 62 at Fair Oaks, VA. Arrived 3 June 62 at Salisbury, NC. Transferred 18 Aug 62 to Richmond. Parolled 13 Sept 62 at Aikens Landing, VA and hospitalized until 12 May 63 when he was discharged on Surgeons Certificate. He was never able to work again and died 29 Sept 1877 in Mercer Co., PA of "disease contracted in the service" due to a complication of his wounds. Christi Watkins
