NEWMAN, Henry C. or D. - Private, Co. F. Born in Adams Co., PA. Enlisted & mustered in 27 March `65 at Harrisburg, PA; a 36 year old Shoemaker from S. Middleton Twp, Cumberland Co., PA. Mustered out 25 June `65. Died 1906.

NEY, Percival "Pass" - Private, Co. D. Born 22 Oct 1842 in Upper Tulpehocken, Berks Co., PA; son of Conrad & Catherine Ney. He came to Manda Gap with his father, Conrad and the family when he was 13 years of age. Mustered in 7 March `65. Mustered out 25 June `65. Pass died 26 Oct 1929. He and his wife along with six of his children are buried at Grantville, Dauphin Co., PA. Pam Hamilton

NORRIS, Theodore C. - Captain, Co. G. First enlisted 2 Sept 61 in Co. F, 87th PA at age 24 from Adams Co., PA. Mustered in 25 Sept 61 at York, PA as a 2nd Lieut. Promoted 18 June 62 to 1st Lieut. at Baltimore, MD. Mustered out 13 Oct 64. Conditionally mustered 23 Feb 65 into the 101st PA at age 27 serving as 2nd Lieut. & Recruiting Officer. Mustered in 25 March 65 as Captain. After leaving Harrisburg the members of Co. G presented him with a sword, sash & belt at Baltimore, MD. Went to Roanoke Island, NC to join the rest of the regiment. Mustered out 25 June `65.
