The concussion slammed him onto the deck injuring and dislocating his elbow. Treated by Dr. Rush. During the Battle of Plymouth his arm was in a sling. Captured 20 April 64 at Plymouth, NC. POW at Andersonville for 1 night, Macon, Savannah (Squad 6), Charleston, Camp Asylum, Columbia, SC, Charlotte, Raleigh, Goldsboro & Wilmington. Paroled 1 March 65 at N.E. Ferry, Wilmington, NC. He escaped with Capt. Thomas B. Dawson & 1st Lieut. William C. Davidson. With the help of Robert Hamilton, Deputy Sheriff of Transylvania Co., NC, they reached Union lines on 13 Nov 64 and reported to Gen. Carter at Knoxville, TN. Returned to the 101st PA. Commissioned 18 May 65 as Captain of Co. G. Mustered out 25 June 65. Became an Associate Judge in Bedford Co. in Jan 1896; serving in that capacity until his death on 23 Jan 1904. CONNELL, Peter - Private, Co. E. Born about 1836. Married Rose. Enrolled at age 25, a Puddler from Danville, Montour Co., PA. Shot through his hip 31 May 62 at Fair Oaks, VA. Taken to White House Landing, then to Fortress Monroe, VA. Transported aboard the steamship S. R. Spaulding to New York City to be admitted to the hospital. After about two weeks he was sent to his home in Danville, PA. Confined to his bed about a year. Charged with desertion. 28 May 1902 the War Dept. removed the charge of desertion and Peter was discharged as of 31 May. 62. Died 17 June 1914 at South Bethlehem, PA. COOK, Henry Englehart - Corporal, Co. F. Born 31 July 1843 in West Bridgewater, Beaver Co., PA, the son of Henry & Margaret (Reiter) Cook. Enrolled 27 Oct 61 at age 18, a Laborer from Beaver, PA. Mustered in 9 Nov 61. Sept to Oct 62 on Grand Guard. July 63 - duty in charge of prisoners. Captured 20 April 64 at Plymouth, NC. Held captive at Andersonville, GA, Charleston & Florence, SC. Robert P. Black, Company E, 103d Pa. Inf. wrote that during the move to Florence, CSA issued  bacon but no water, Henry had a tin tea kettle and managed to fill it with water at a stop, gave Black a mouthful, wished to save it if some food arrived, at Florence issued rice and red peppers which Henry cooked and shared. Paroled from Florence on 13 Dec 64 at Charleston, SC and sent to Camp Parole, Annapolis, MD. Returned home for a 30 day furlough. Returned to the regiment. Discharged 18 March 65 to date 18 Dec 64. After the war he followed the carpenter trade and then entered business. Later served as a Constable & Sheriff. Known as the "one armed Sheriff" due to a hunting accident in 1877. Henry married twice. First wife was Sarah K. Sheldrake, dau. of Joshua Sheldrake of Co. F; the second was to Mary E. Metheny on 24 May 1888. Captive at Andersonville, GA until 7 Sep 64. Arrived 14 Sept 64 at Florence, SC. Housed in a small mud or clay hut at Florence with no floor, measuring about 18 inches high. In the hospital at Florence from Nov to Jan 65. Samuel Long, CSA, Acting Surgeon treated him for swamp fever. He was near death at time of parole, and had to be helped into the RR cars. Paroled 27 Feb 65 at N.E. Ferry, Wilmington, NC. Mustered out 25 June 65. Married Isabella Fogle on 11 March 1869. Worked in the grocery business and as a bookkeeper with Wemman & Sutton before becoming Justice of the Peace, Wilkinsburg, PA; his office being at 1020 Wood Street. Occupation listed as Weighmaster in 1880. Applied 14 Jan 1881 for an Invalid Pension. Attended the dedication of the PA Monument at Andersonville 7 Dec 1905. In 1865 he worked as a Farmer on Bigham's Farm, Mount Washington. In the Spring of 1866, Titus went west for his health, with his parents. Married 18 Aug 1867 to Hannah Adkins in Sullivan Co., MO. Died in Greencastle, Sullivan Co., MO of  lung disease. Minor Pension applied for on 12 July 1884 with James Sheafer as guardian.

Discharged 1 Mar 63 on Surgeon's Certificate at New Bern, NC. Enlisted next 3 Sept 64 in Co. D, 6th PA Heavy Artillery. Mustered out 13 June 65 at Fort Ethan Allen, VA. Living in Markle, Westmoreland Co., PA in 1890. Died 1905. Name also spelled CROOK.

CROSSON, James -  Captain, Co. K & Adjutant. Born 1821 in Philadelphia, PA. Married to Catherine. Served as a 1st Sgt in Co. H, 1st PA Infantry during the Mexican War. Enrolled 1 Sept 61 in the 101st PA at age 40, a Clerk from Philadelphia, PA. Mustered in 14 Dec 61 as 2nd Lieut of Co. K. Promoted to Adjutant 6 Oct 62. Resigned 20 July 63. Died 30 June 1892 and is buried in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery Co., PA. Also spelled CRESSEN.

CROSSON, Louis M. - Drummer Boy, Co. K. Born 1848. Enrolled at age 14, from Philadelphia, PA. Mustered in 28 Dec 61. Discharged 5 Aug 63 on Surgeon's Certificate. At age 36, while a single actor, Louis was admitted 7 Feb 1884 to the National Home of Disabled Vets at Hampton, VA due to general debility. Transferred 5 Aug 1884 to the insane asylum. Died 13 Feb 1886. Buried in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery Co., PA. Also spelled Lewis M. CROSSAN & CROSSEN.

CUBBISON, Joseph C. - 2nd Lieutenant, Co. C. Enrolled 18 Sept 61 at age 26, a Mechanic from Irish Ripple, Lawrence Co., PA. Mustered in 6 Nov 61 as 3d Sgt. Promoted Sept 62 to 1st Sgt. Promoted 1 Jan 63 to 2nd Lieut. Aug to 4 Dec 63 duty as Provost Guard at Plymouth, NC. Received gun shot wound 19 April 64 to left thigh. Captured 20 April 64 at Plymouth, NC. POW at Savannah, GA (Squad 6) and Camp Asylum, Columbia, SC among others. Paroled 1 March 65 at N. E. Ferry, Wilmington, NC, Mustered out 25 June 65. Married Jane D. Died 24 Aug 1908.
